Taj Newton

Head Instructor

Taj grew up in Hana, a small community on Maui’s east side. He learned how to surf on an assortment of beach breaks and slabs near home, and has since applied his skills on Oahu’s north shore, where he has spent multiple winters charging pipeline and the other legendary waves of the north shore. Taj is a world class short boarder, and has competed in many WSL qualifying series events. Additionally, he has lots of experience teaching surfers of all levels on Maui.
