Brooke grew up in a surfing household; her dad Jeff owned Espo’s surf shop, which was in business for many years on the napeague stretch before Jeff sold the shop. Jeff taught Brooke how to surf at a young age, where she learned primarily on the pointbreaks and reef breaks on montauk’s eastern shores.
