Raised in the Hamptons, grown in Hawaii
Legend surf co owner and founder, Andrew Karr, grew up surfing in the Hamptons. From a young age, he developed his love for surfing in the waves of the east end, and learned about the greater surfing world through his elders in the east end’s surfing community. In 2019, he moved to Hawaii, where he immediately found a place in Hawaii’s surfing community, by charging legendary breaks such as jaws and pipeline. Legend surf co came together as a combination of worlds; a collective; of surfers from both places. A bridge from the Hamptons to Hawaii. Every summer, legend’s team of talented local instructors is joined by Hawaiian legends, fusing together a variety of figures with different surfing backgrounds and styles, yet all connected through a shared passion for the ocean.
At legend surf co, we seek more than just teaching you how to surf. Our mission is to deepen your connection with the ocean and lovers of the ocean alike.
